Erwin Labs ("we," "our," or "us") operates NEURA, a habit tracking and productivity application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app and related services.
Account Information: You can create an account with an email address and password, which is available on every platform, or with Sign in with Apple, which is available on iOS. If you sign up with an email address, we collect that address, the display name you choose, and the authentication credentials Firebase Authentication holds for you. If you use Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple for your name and email address and store what Apple returns. Apple supplies your name only when you first authorize NEURA; if it is not supplied then, we do not receive it later. If you use Apple's private email relay, we receive and store the relay address rather than your own address. We do not collect or store a profile picture from any sign-in provider.
User-Generated Content: We store the habits, tasks, goals, challenges, and related data you create within the app. This data is stored in your personal account and is not shared with other users unless you explicitly choose to participate in group features.
Subscription Information: If you subscribe to NEURA Pro, payment processing is handled by Google Play, Apple App Store, or Stripe (via RevenueCat). We do not directly collect or store your credit card number or payment details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, transaction identifiers, and purchase history from these payment processors.
AI Feature Data: Many NEURA features use an AI service provider to generate their responses. When you use these features, the text you write is sent to that provider: the goals, tasks, and context you enter for planning and coaching; what you write in practices, workbook exercises, and belief work; and the messages you send in NEURA's conversational features. Separately, when you write something in a conversational feature that appears to signal crisis or risk of harm, your message is sent to the provider to judge whether NEURA should surface support resources. Your text reaches the provider through our own servers: the app sends it to a NEURA cloud function, authenticated with your Firebase sign-in token, and that function makes the request to the provider. That request contains only the model name, a limit on the response length, NEURA's instructions to the model, and the message text itself. Your user ID, email address, and other account identifiers stay on our servers and are not included in the request.
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Your data is associated with your unique user ID, and our security rules ensure that only you can access your own data. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
Access and Export: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app, under Settings, which removes your data from our systems. You can also request deletion by contacting us at rpeinvestment@gmail.com, and we will process the request within 30 days.
Correction: You can change your display name when joining or creating a shared challenge. For any other correction to your account information, contact us at the email in Section 12.
NEURA is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).
NEURA is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using NEURA, you consent to this transfer.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or via email. Your continued use of NEURA after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
